The book, BAYTIN, was written by Dr. Abdulla Lutfiyya and published in 1966. It studies village life in the Middle East at that time, with a special emphasis on Baytin, which is a small village on the outskirts of Ramallah in the West Bank. A family tree with just over 50 male names (head of households) was listed in the community chapter of the book.

كتاب "بيتين" كٌتِبَ بواسطة د. عبد الله لطفية ونُشِرَ عام ١٩٦٦. الكتاب يدرس حياة القرية في الشرق الأوسط في ذلك الوقت ، مع تركيز خاص على بيتين ، وهي قرية صغيرة من ضواحي رام الله في الضفة الغربية. في الفصل المجتمعي من الكتاب , تم إدراج شجرة عائلة تضم ما يزيد عن ٥٠ إسمًا ذكريًا (رب الأسرة).

As a proud Baytini and after reading the book several times, I took it upon myself to fast forward 60 years and update the current family names and individuals in and from Baytin and I came up with over 2000 male names. Although the male name list is not complete (and it can never be complete without the females), it gives us a 2020 refresher and any shortcomings can be added down the road.

We are one family and we all share the same origins and now we are located all over the world, so let's stay connected and keep our bond as strong as ever. We need this not only for ourselves, but for our kids and for generations to come.
